Venue

Jaén is a city located in the South of Spain, in the region of Andalusia. One of the main attractions of Jaén, the capital of the province, is its architectural heritage. A cultural heritage passed down through the centuries by the numerous civilizations that have settled in these lands: Iberians, Tartessians, Greeks, Phoenicians, Romans and Arabs. Among the rich architectural heritage of Jaén, special mention should be made of the cathedral, built by Andrés de Vandelvira in Renaissance style, as well as the Moorish baths. Because of the vast fields of olive trees found throughout the region, Jaén is popularly known as the World Capital of Olive Oil.

The University of Jaén is a young university, with a constant training of teaching staff and committed to research. It is conformed by Las Lagunillas Campus, where most of its centers are located, and the Linares Scientific-Technological Campus with the Higher Polytechnic School. The University of Jaén is in the Top 50 of the best young universities in the world according to THE (Times Higher Education). Likewise, the UJA received the EFQM 500+ European Seal of Excellence, the highest level of recognition granted by the Excellence in Management Club, as the official representative in Spain of the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM). The University of Jaén is included again in the group of 4% of the first worldwide, according to the Ranking Center for World University Rankings (CWUR), which selects the thousand best and most valued universities every year among the more than 25,000 existing ones. In addition, it is the fourth Spanish university obtaining the highest score in the international student satisfaction ranking, published by the International Organization STEXX Studyportals in 2016.
